Q: What is the thickest or highest viscosity material the SpeedMixer® can handle?

A: We can mix anything including up to multi-million centipoise fluids.

Q: Will the SpeedMixer® ‘over mix’ my materials?

A: No, our variable speed machine can be properly programmed to offer a truly optimized mix cycle unique to your specific materials.

Q: Is the onsite demonstration completely free?

A: Yes.  We believe wholeheartedly in the SpeedMixer® and are happy to demonstrate to any interested parties that have a mixing need.  Completely free.

Q: Do I really have to see it to believe it?

A: Yes.  Seeing our technology work for your application first hand is the best way to show yourself and others that we may offer the perfect solution or an answer to a problem you didn’t know you had.

Q: Is your technology scaleable?

A: Yes, thousands of the products that you see and use everyday have undergone the product cycle of formulation, R&D, pilot scale in the SpeedMixer® and then scaled into production qualities using traditional mixing technologies.  The SpeedMixer® helps you formulate and find your desired material quicker and easier.

Q: Do you only have lab scale mixers?

A: Our line of SpeedMixers® covers <1 gm up to 20 kg and everywhere in between.

Q: Are your mixing containers disposable?

A: You can choose to reuse or dispose of our mixing containers.  They are priced at disposable rate so that cleanup can be avoided.  Some customers mix, store, and even sell material directly in our containers.

Q: How important is power when SpeedMixing?

A: Power, or spin speed (RPM), is the basis of our mixing.  Having adequate power is essential to ensuring a proper, repeatable, bubble free mixing of thick and thin materials.

Q: Does the SpeedMixer® actually remove bubbles when mixing?

A: Yes.  The motion of our mixing will remove macroscopic bubbles or voids from your materials in-situ during the mixing operation.  If you would like to remove microscopic, adsorbed air, solvent, moisture or other contaminants from your material, our vacuum SpeedMixer® may be the best solution.  Contact us to compare vacuum vs non-vacuum SpeedMixers®.

Q: Who will be visiting my facility for the demonstration?

A: Our team consist of local experts throughout the country with backgrounds ranging from chemistry, to material science to engineering- we will find the perfect fit for you.  Each local SpeedMixer® contact is fully trained and comes with a technical background.  We have seen thousands of different problems throughout industry and are prepared with solutions for your specific mixing need.

Q: Does the SpeedMixer® have any blades?

A: No! The SpeedMixer® works on the principle of our original patent on the Dual asymmetric Centrifuge (DAC).

Q: Does the DAC 150-DAC 800 SpeedMixer® require using or adjusting a counterbalance ?

A: No, our technology does not require the use of a counterbalance.  Thus the user is free from adjusting the machine for each mixture = faster mixing and no chances of user error from counterbalancing.

Q: We require all equipment we purchase to be CE marked, are the mixers supplied with a Declaration of Conformity and CE marked?

A: Yes, where relevant, our machines are fully tested and certified to meet the applicable EC Directives and Harmonized Standards. The machines have the CE mark on their identification plate and the Declaration of Conformity is supplied as part of the machines Operation Manual.

Q: Now that the UK has left the EU and the CE marking will stop being valid in the UK, are your machines certified for use in the UK?

A: Yes; where relevant, the existing CE mark is still valid until the 1st January 2023 and this date signifies the end of the agreed grace period following the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. From the 1st January 2023 the new “UKCA” mark will be required; we are currently working with our manufacturing partners to ensure that, where relevant, all our machines will be supplied both CE & UKCA approved ahead of this deadline to ensure an uninterrupted supplier to our customers.
